Open Access Policy
This is an Open Journal, which means that the entirety of its content is available, free of charge, for any person or institution. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link full texts from articles or use them for any other legal purpose without requesting permission from the publisher or the author. These terms are established in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Antiplagiarism policy
Revista Espacios has an antiplagiarism policy that guarantees the originality and integrity of all articles it receives, applied using antiplagiarism softwares (smallseotools, duplichecker or Turnitin®). Such instruments can detect coincidences or similarities between texts received for publishing and other papers issued previously on other sources. If any possible form of plagiarism is detected, the article is to be discarded and its authors are to be informed.
Interoperability policy
All articles published until 2020 have html metadata incorporated into its source code. This allows any search engine to analyze the content of each page.
Since November 2020, the DOI of each article is periodically deposited, thus building the metadata. Efforts are being made in order to label articles according to this registry.
Revista Espacios implemented the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) protocol, a mechanism that collects metadata for repositories. Link: http://saber.ucv.ve/ojs/index.php/rev_esp/issue/archive/oai

Copyright and licencing
The authors published in this journal agree to the following terms:
Copyright
Authors are to maintain the rights to their articles, even when it is understood that they are granting the journal a non-exclusive licence for their reproduction, distribution, public diffusion and transformation, as well as guaranteeing Revista Espacios the first publication of their work. Authors can make additional arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the same version of the article published in the magazine, as long as its initial publication is acknowledged.
Licensing

This licence allows third parties to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform and build upon the material) as long as the authorship and initial publication in the journal are acknowledged.
Autoarchiving policy
The authors can disseminate their works published in the Espacios Magazine through the Internet to favor their circulation and dissemination and, with it, a possible increase in the citation and scope among the scientific and academic community. Therefore, Espacios Magazine allows authors to deposit a copy of their article in an institutional or other repository of their choice, both the version sent to the magazine and the versions accepted and published in Espacios Magazine.
Preservation of scholarly content
Since January 2021, the articles published in Revista Espacios have been deposited in PORTICO, a preservation archive that protects access to electronic journals, electronic books and digital collections. This preservation ensures that the deposited content will remain accessible and usable for researchers, academics and students in the future. LINK: https://www.portico.org/publishers/espacios/
Repository
Since 2022 Espacios Magazine deposits the articles published in the institutional repository of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) SABERUCV. LINK: http://saber.ucv.ve/ojs/index.php/rev_esp/issue/archive. This repository was created to host, manage and disseminate for free and in full text: theses, research articles, books, electronic journals, presentations, among other documents that make up the Venezuelan academic production.
Financing model and cost to authors
