Abstract

This study analyzed the factors influencing the acceptance of legal mining among university students in the piura region of peru, considering their knowledge of mining activities, institutional trust, and environmental perceptions. a questionnaire was administered to 372 students. the results showed a favorable acceptance of legal mining; however, moderate levels of institutional distrust and environmental concerns persisted, revealing tensions between sustainability, social legitimacy, and territorial development.
