Propiedades psicométricas del UWES-S17 para medir el engagement académico en estudiantes universitarios mexicanos

Resumen
El objetivo del estudio fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas del UWES-S17 en 255 estudiantes universitarios (M_edad = 20.0, DE = 2.2; 76.1% mujeres) de una universidad pública en Sonora, México. La validez factorial se examinó mediante tres modelos estructurales; el modelo unifactorial mostró el mejor ajuste. La consistencia interna fue sólida y se confirmó la invarianza factorial según el sexo y otras variables. El instrumento presenta propiedades psicométricas satisfactorias para evaluar el engagement académico en estudiantes universitarios mexicanos.

Abstract
The study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the UWES-S17 in 255 university students (M_age = 20.0, SD = 2.2; 76.1% female) from a public university in Sonora, Mexico. Factorial validity was examined through four structural models; the unidimensional model showed the best fit. Internal consistency was strong, and factorial invariance was confirmed by sex and other variables. The instrument demonstrates satisfactory psychometric properties for assessing academic engagement in Mexican university students.
